About
It all began with nature…
Emily is a mixed media painter. She graduated from Radford University in 2019 with her Bachelors of Fine Arts, using inspiration from the mountain foliage in her body of work. Being outdoors is where she feels at home.
After graduating she entered the work force going through odd jobs and found a teaching job at a day care. Emily loves working with children. Children’s toys notably spiked an interest with her. She played with and watched the children in her class interact with toys, fabric with texture, and outdoor play time.
Emily is currently working on getting her masters degree in Elementary Education. Wanting to spread a welcoming environment for creativity and expression wherever she goes.
“When I was 3 years old my family went fishing. I caught a croaker. I was so excited I didn’t want to throw it back so I carried it with me back to shore. I asked my parents if I could put it in my toy box! Needless to say, my dad threw it back in the water.”
